I am about taking my plane, so quickly, yes I can try and organise our meeting
prior to the face to face meeting in Brussels. If we are not more than
six/seven it could be organised in the WIDE office.

I will keep you posted!

Best wishes,

Nerea

 Dear friends,
I am resending the message I sent to the FTF about the coming general meeting
in Nairobi. As faciliation team of the FTF we have the responsibility to
ensure that several of us are present there, and also to encourage regional
representation. Some of us will be attending the face to face meeting in
Brussels at the end of this month (at least Nerea, Elizabeth, myself). There
are other women are also active in the FTF like Lysa John from Philippines and
Iara from Brasil. There might be someone else. I think we should have a
meeting previous to the GCAP one. I am arriving on the 29 as I suspect many of
you are. Can Nerea assist us to plan a meeting there? Maybe identify a venue,
it can even be the hotel. If we meet one afternoon that will be very good and
we can have a stronger position once meeting the rest of the people from
 GCAP.
Please respond to me as soon as possible, for planning fro Brussels but also
for the long-run planning for Nairobi.
Looking forward to hear from you all,
 Ana

Subject: [Gcap-women] General Meeting GCAP Nairobi Reunión General

 Dear friends,
 queridas amigas (español abajo)

GCAP will have a general meeting (like the one in Beirut) in January 2007 in
Nairobi following the World Social Forum (WSF). The working groups like ours
can nominate three participants. We have also discussed at the FTF strategic
meeting that we should use the opportunity of having so many of us in Nairobi
for the WSF to have a meeting fof the FTF. The idea is to have this meeting
before the Forum that is from 20 to 25 January.
Besides the Forum, ICAE is having its World Assembly and we are presenting a
workshop on Gender, Poverty and Education. We will use the space to have the
FTF meeting. The dates for Nairobi then are:

 - Workshop on Gender, Poverty and Education: 18 January
 - Meeting of the FTF: 19 and 20 (morning)
 - WSF: 20 to 25 January
 - GCAP General Meeting: 26 and 27 January

I am sure several of you are planning to go to the WSF. It would be great to
know who will be in Nairobi already and can make arrangements to go two days
earlier and stay two more days. Those already in Nairobi can be easily
nominated to join both meetings, the one of the FTF and the one of GCAP. We
need to know if you already have funding.
I would also like to know if any of you is interested in attending the meeting
of the FTF and of GCAP but is not planning to go to the WSF. For those of you
who are in this situation, we need to provide funding. We do have some funds
for the FTF meeting, and GCAP can fund some of the three members from the FTF
who will attend the general meeting. But we need to know this urgently!!! It
is not just a matter of nominations, but mainly of finding tickets because so
many people are travelling from all over the world to Nairobi those days!
Please answer this week to indicate whether you are already planning to go to
Nairobi or if you would like to be nominated and need funding either from the
 FTF or GCAP.
The IFT is having a face to face meeting on 30 November and 1 December in
Brussels, and we will finalise the agenda for Nairobi. I will send you all the
information after the meeting, but it is urgent to know already who of you
will be attending. This are important events, where we hope to evaluate
critically the work of GCAP and plan the future.
I look forward to your comments and the names of those who will be there!!
 Thanks!
 Greetings
 Ana

 ESPAÑOL
 Queridas amigas,

Gracias!
 Un abrazo,
 Ana
