Thanks, Ana, for this information. Yes, the Month of Mobilization is right
around the corner! and your reminder is very timely. I'm also very
interested in hearing from folks what they are involved with around the month of
mobilization.
And yes, the report needs to go to our funders, and having been working on
it with you, I'd like to also call on our sisters to help keep the momentum and
send their reports----brief or long as they may be. I have some notes on
your presentations, as others might, however I remember becoming very engrossed
in hearing about your experiences that I stopped taking notes! The best
version will come from you----and think of it like this---since funders weren't
there to listen to you personally, you will have their full attention as they
read the report! We received lots of good feedback from GCAPers around our
statements, our organization at the meeting and I bet there is still lots of
interest in reading in detail about our meeting in Toronto. I'm wondering
now if we also have Elizabeth's presentation on women and HIV/AIDS???? We can
add it as an appendix. The truth is that we did lots, we packed our days in
Toronto and it should all be reflected in the report.
Sorry to hear about Giselle, but good to know she wants to stay involved. I
wonder though, did we not nominate a young person from the Caribbean?
Marianela from CIPAF who was in Beirut so that we have more diversity and young
voices in our group?
Thanks, again, Ana. My best to all,
Rosa

Dear friends,
Next week is the start of the month of mobilisation. As FTF we really need
to concretise some of our agreements. Thanks Marcela for the information you
have sent. I am going to make it available to all the FTF and also the IFT.
In terms of materials, we really need to get some out. There are some funds,
as you know. They are not much but some materials can be printed with the
US$ 2,000. Please let´s take a decision around that. Those of you who are
planning to use materials for your mobilisation, let me know and let´s see the
costs.
And another important thing: we cannot delay the sending of the report of
our meeting to the funders. To complete the report we need the presentations
from Sharmila, Pam and also from Josephine from Canada. Maybe Elizabeth you
could write to her asking for her presentation. And Sharmila and Pam, it would
be great if you can send your presentations this weekend!!
So, thanks in advance for the work you will be doing in the coming days. And
let´s hope we will be able to implement our agreements, so that we can get
to 2007 with a strong FTF!
Warm greetings,
Ana
P.S. I received a message from Giselle, explaining why she could not make it
back to the meeting. She was really sich, in bed with fever. She is willing
to continue with her involvement with the FTF.
