Dear women,
 
Thank you Lysa and Chona for your communications.  Also, thanks  Marcela for 
your input, and we're happy to hear from Ana!  It  appears then that there are 
slots for our two Asian colleagues----does this  need to be confirmed?  And 
if so, can you send an e-mail?  
 
We are then still looking at 3 slots which have to be decided  today to send 
the forms to the Secretariat.  In my dream scenario I had  Josephine and 
Prisca because although they come from one region, Josephine is  really 
representing another region---the Middle East, making the proposed  regions represented:  
Africa, Middle East, North America, and Latin  America.  I think there is a 
strong backing for the LAC spot going to Flora  Tristan.  Is there anyone 
opposed to this configuration?  I think what  Ana writes about Flora Tristan 
potentially taking over the FTF coordination as a  consideration however we still 
need a process for vetting that  possibility.  So I understand the backing of 
support for Flora Tristan in  this regard but would still like to point out that 
the decision for the FTF  coordination is a pending agenda item, a process we 
as the FT have to sort  through and present to the whole of FTF.
 
Our other two proposed nominees:  Marianela/GCAP Dominican Rep. and  Susana 
FOCO/Argentina.  We do have an opportunity through the two more  spaces per 
region under the auspices of the May 6th meeting.  Can we  investigate this 
possibility?  Ana, are you in touch with the regional  reps?  We should ask, at the 
minimum.  I think we should try to  finalize:   
 
Lysa and Chona---please re-confirm that you have slots to attend the  
meeting.  
O.K. the list of four:  Africa-Prisca; Middle East-Josephine; North  
America-Rosa; Latin American-Susana----ONLY THOSE OPPOSED SEND A  MESSAGE; silence 
will mean you are o.k. with it.  This way we do't  flood the system with e-mails. 
Can we get a space for Marianela and/or Susana through the region? - Ana,  
let's see what we can do.
Or through the MTF??  Rosa will inquire.
 
We should also start a list of proposed agenda items---will send in a  
separate message.  Thanks everyone, for being so responsive.
