Dear Friends of the FTF,
You are already aware of our efforts towards the *Women's Tribunal Against
Poverty*, which is being on *October 17th 2007 *as part of the efforts being
undertaken by partners across 20 states of the Abhiyan, and in over 100
countries through the efforts of GCAP & UNMC, to highlight the
accountability of governments across the world to End Poverty & Social
Exclusion.
*The Tribunal will bring together women from across the most marginalized
communties of India* - Dalits, Adivasis, Muslim Minorities, Nomadic Tribes,
Single Women & Women with Disabilities - to make a collective statement of
their experiences of poverty, share their determined efforts to change their
situation and register their demands to the government to ensure their
entitlements in the areas of Livelihood, Food Security, Land, Housing,
Public Services & Governance.
*We are delighted to share with you that we have received a confirmation for
a delegation from the Women's Tribunal to meet with the Hon'ble President of
India, Pratibha Patil - the first woman President of the country - on
October 17th. *

The delegation would represent the struggles and efforts that are being
presented as part of the Tribunal from across 20 states of India, and also
present a Women's Charter Against Poverty to President. *We invite you to
send your contributions and insights to us so that we may be guided by the
same in the finalization of the Women's Charter Against Poverty.*

your continuous support to sustain the momentum & outcomes our collective
action.
