  Dear Ana and All,
   
  Greetings.  Planning committee for the tribunal in Cairo met today, the date was fixed in November 16, 2007 in consideration of our local circumstances of Ramadan feast.  The tribunal title will be "women poverty......causes and consequences".  In general terms some women will be invited to tell their stories and the jury will condemn illiteracy, poor health, violence against women, rigid structures, gender bias, lack of opportunities, negative legacies, and others as they may be raised from women stories.  Recommendations will be drafted and sent to respective policy making structures.
   
  We were also thinking of bringing 2 or three women from Lebanon Jordan and North Africa as juries or participants.
   
  A smaller committee was formed to take care of logistical matters of the day, but the planning committee will meet after the fact to evaluate the day, and propose follow up actions.
   
  This is in brief what went out in the meeting today.
