I am really looking forward to our call tomorrow as there are quite a number of issues to address. I have been away for a week and have not been able to respond to several messages but hope that we will catch up at the call tomorrow.

  Dear friends,

  We are nearing the end of the month and with that comes a reminder about our FTF Facilitation Team conference call next Wednesday, May 28th (remember--it will be the last Wednesday of every month), at 12 GMT (8am New York).  Please confirm your participation AND THE NUMBER TO CALL YOU BELOW.

  This is an important and timely call because the Global Council meeting will take place in a couple of weeks. We need to ensure we have certain pieces in place prior to that meeting. I have a few things on the agenda and I'm sure Ana and others will add to that (she's currently at a conference).

  Draft Agenda
  1. Mobilisation - Stop the Food Crisis - GCAP want to hear what our plans around the call to Stop the Food Crisis on or around June 1. 
  2. Glasgow meeting - 
      2.a. Global Foundation Registration - Currently there has been a majority of IFT members in favor.  A request has been sent to all national coalitions and constituency groups to give your final input on registration of the GCAP Global Foundation. We need to send response as soon as possible. 
      2.b. Gobal Secretariat hosting. With communication of the above comes also a call for hosting. Some GCAP constituents in the South have put in a bid to host the Global Secretariat, see the link:

  3.  FTF Coordination
      3.a. Regional updates
      3.b. Climate Change Task Force - Moema has written that she cannot be on the CCTF at this time. We need to confirm the next person in line for that slot. Also, we need to confirm Rehana, from whom we have not heard.
