Thank you for this information. I am delighted that Diana will be joining
the MTF meeting as she will certainly bring the kind of energy, questions
and ideas that will enrich the work being planned from a strong perspective
of gender and social exclusion.

 

I am also copying this mail to Sandhya who will be attending the meeting
from India and is also the person leading the Women's Tribunal on Climate
Change initiative here.  It would be great if Diana and Sandhya could
exchange notes on the work and future initiatives of the FTF which would
help take this link forward in the months to come.

 

I am copying Sandhya this mail to both of them so that they can look out for
each other at the meeting accordingly.

Dear Ana, dear friends,

 

I'd like to inform you all that I've just confirmed Diana Salas (FTF
member-NY) to attend the Mobilization Task Force Face-to-Face meeting next
week.  I know many of you have met Diana before in New York for the Women's
Tribunals on Poverty and the MDGs and/or in Belem, Brazil for the World
Social Forum and/or the Women's Consultation last year in June in New York.
Diana has been a constant partner in the women's tribunal work as well as
the work around women and poverty. By way of background, she is currently
the Associate Director of the Women of Color Policy Network of the Wagner
School of Public Policy at New York University.  As a recent nationalized
citizen of the US of A, she does not need a visa so this has facilitated her
travel greatly!  

 

I've briefed her on some issues but will be meeting with her to provide more
information.  If there is anything you would like to communicate to Diana
with regards to this meeting, please write her (she's copied above).  I'm
including the agenda of the meeting as well. Ana, perhaps you, Diana and I
could have a chat conversation prior to her departure on the 24th.  Thanks,
