[Ftffacilitationteam] CALL FOR BLOGGERS at G20 meeting

Dear friends,

Yesterday on the Mobilization Task Force call, and in preparation for the  
upcoming G20 meeting, there was a call for bloggers to attend the G20 meeting,  
particularly from the global South. I said that 'bloggers' was a "Northern"  
concept and identification, and so what if there aren't bloggers per se that we 
 can identify. I asked if nominating journalists from the global South were  
ok and the reply was yes. Also, any "good thinkers," people who knew the 
issues  and could respond to journalists and in sending out accounts of the 
meeting. 

So, we need to nominate women who can be part of this team. The call went  
out yesterday in the GCAP e-letter as well (see below).  WE NEED TO  NOMINATE 
JOURNALISTS, EX-JOURNALISTS, MEDIA SAVVY WOMEN WHO CAN REPORT ON WHAT'S  
HAPPENING ON THE GROUND. CURRENTLY, WE HAVE PROPOSED LUISA CRUZ HEFT who is an  
excellent example of someone who can report a women's perspective to the FTF and  
others.  CAN YOU SEND NAMES TO ME AND ANA, PLEASE, AT THE EARLIEST.   DO SOME 
OUTREACH TO WOMEN WHO WRITE FOR THEIR ORGANIZATIONS AND CAN TRAVEL TO  LONDON 
FOR THE MARCH 28 - APRIL 4 (at least through the April 2nd Summit).  

Please send your proposed names at the earliest. This message will also go  
the wider gcap-women list.
