With respect to the work I have carried out re GCAP..
In the case of the Climate Change working group-- for some reason I was
never included in the group..

 but I have carried work re climate change.. I am part of an international
gender and climate change network, which monitors the process, and will be
working on a training for women in our region, later this year. We work also
climate change and the arts, and we will be having a climate change meeting
in El Salvador later this year, and relating it to its impact on gender ,
desertification, food sovereignty and security, and disaster mitigation. Our
movement will be doing the coordination and will work to have those
organizations reps who work on the various themes related to climate change.

on GCAP.. as part of the FTF MOBILIZATION WORKING GROUP, I HAVE PARTICIPATED
IN THE CONFERENCE CALLS TO PLAN THE MOBILIZATIONS AND THE CAMPAIGNS.  I HAVE
BEEN PART OF THE PROG LAST YEAR IN NY, AN I HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE WITNESSES
IN THE TRIBUNALS, ON ENVIRONMENT AND ERADICATION OF POVERTY.

AS PART OF THE MOBILIZATION WG I HAVE FOLLOWED AND SUPPORTED THE G8 AND THE
G20 MOBILIZATIONS VIA THE CONFERENCE CALLS, AND GIVEN THAT THERE WERE NO
LATIN AMERICANS IN THOSE CALLS, I SHARED THE PERTINENT INFORMATION WITH THE
LATIN AMERICAN FACILITATOR, FIRST AS IT WAS IN EL SALVADOR, AND THEN AS IT
HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO CHILE..

ONE OUTCOME WAS TO NOTIFY THEM, EVEN AS IT WAS A VERY SHORT TIME TO MOVE ON
IT,A BOUT THE NEED TO NOMINATE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE REGION FOR THE ROME G8
MTG, OF MAY 4-5.  THEY MANAGED TO SEND REPRESENTATIVES, AND I ALSO ASSURED
TO TRANSFER INFORMATION TO THE FACILITATORS OF THE G8 CIVIL SOCIETY
MOBILIZATION ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRESSING G8 GOVERNMENTS TO SEND HIGH LEVEL
REPRESENTATIVES OF THE VARIOUS RELEVANT GOV MINISTRIES TO THE UN HIGH LEVEL
MEETING ON THE FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC CRISIS JUNE 1-3.

 IN RELATION TO THE JUNE 1-3 UN MTG, I HAVE PARTICIPATED AS PART OF THE FTF
IN THE WOMEN WORKING GROUP ON FFD IN THE TWO CONSULTATIONS TO PREPARE THE
WOMEN STATEMENT AND POSITION, AND THE RELATED FOLLOW UP.  PART OF THIS
PROCESS HAS BEEN THE PARTICIPATION IN THE DOHA ROUND AT THE END OF LAST
YEAR.

 AS PART OF THE WWG/FTF I HAVE BEEN IN THIS YEAR RECENT MEETINGS RELATED TO
THE APRIL 27 UN HIGH  LEVEL EVENT ON FfD.  I WORkED IN THE WWG CONSULTATION,
IN THE HIGH LEVEL EVENT, AND WE CONTINUE TO GIVE FOLLOW UP IN PREPARATION OF
THE JUNE 1-3 MTG.

WE ARE SUPPORTING THE ORGANIZING OF THE PEOPLE'S HEARING ON THE FINANCIAL
CRISIS ON MAY 30, THE NGO STRATEGY SESSION ON MAY 31, THE MOBILISATIONS
AROUND BOTH DATES AND THE ACTUAL JUNE 1-3 MTGS.  WE UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS
IMPORTANT TO SUPPORT THE CREATION OF AN ON GOING PROCESS TO GUARANTEE THE
PARTICIPATION OF THE 192 NATIONS RE THE FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC CRISIS, AND
WE SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMIT TO CREATE IT.

IN EL SALVADOR, I HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN THE GCAP MEETINGS AS MUCH AS TIME
PERMITS, AND SUPPORTED THE YOUTH IN LAST YEARS PROGRAMS RELATED TO STAND UP,
AND PARTICIPATED IN THE CREATION OF THE NATIONAL DOCUMENT FOR ADVOCACY.
THIS YEAR WE PROPOSED TO HAVE TRAININGS ON THE GLOBAL ISSUES AND CONCERNS,
AND ANOTHER FOR CITIZEN MONITORING AND COMPTROLORSHIP.
