Thank you very much Sharmila for your response.
I would like to suggest that in relation to the tribunals you always respond to all so we can keep each other informed of what is happening which each of the tribunals. In this way by the time we get to our call on the first week of October we will already have some more information.
Greetings to all,
Ana

Dear Josephine, Sharmila, Rehana, Sandhya, Caroline and Aishia,
dear colleagues from the Facilitation Team,

as you know, we had applied for funds being administered by the GCAP Secretariat for the organisation of 7 tribunals on gender and climate change. I copy below the table of all the tribunals.
We received mostly positive responses from the Secretariat because in most cases they said yes (Belem, Pakistan, Nepal, Botswana) and in a couple of cases they indicated that there is a need for a brief reformulation (Nigeria) or that they need to look for other sources of funding as Oxfam is already organising tribunals in India and in Kenya/Uganda. That means that for Nigeria we need to send a reformulation (Rosa is supporting Caroline on this) and for India and the AWEPON proposals we need to wait to see if they manage to get funds from other sources. With respect to the AWEPON proposal they had some doubts in relation to AWEPON´s participation in GCAP but Rosa did send information about Josephine being an active member of our facilitation team. What we would like to suggest with respect to this particular tribunal, that was originally suggested for Kenya and Uganda, is that you concentrate just on one country, rather than organising two events. If you could please Josephine reformulate the proposal on the basis of one tribunal and resend to Fionuola, I think that would be great.

We have talked with Rosa about the specific support that you might need and decided to have Rosa as reference person for Botswana, Nepal and Nigeria, and myself for Pakistan, India and the AWEPON tribunal. So if you have any questions please write to Rosa or to me, accordingly.

With respect to all tribunals we must place them within a common thread, so as to be able to report in Copenhagen and beyond having used the same instruments. We will develop in the coming days a common reporting format that will help all of you to highlight the main aspects of the tribunals. We also want to have common procedures in terms of the accounting, financial reporting, etc.

As a first step for coordination of the seven tribunals we are planning to have a teleconference the first week of October (the week from the 5th to the 9th). We would very much appreciate it if you can indicate which day of that week fits you better so we can ask for the line to make the call. We also want to ask you to send us your Skype name in case you have it as that makes regular communication much easier. My Skype name is anajairo2
You can already add me to your contacts if you have Skype.

So, this is all for now but we will be communicating with all of you again soon. We look forward to your comments and confirmations of the better date for our teleconference.

    Warm greetings,
    Ana
