<div>Dear Rosa,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Thanks for sharing this. Infact, I was also sharing with a member of the IFT Support Group a few days ago, that the FTF is one of the few groups that consistently brings back the issues that are being discussed across GCAP to the members that they are representing to facilitate a collective feedback, rather than just individuals engaging in their personal capacities. I do hope this is something that will be addressed across the Taskforces! (Chona, this is also something we must raise within the Asia groups too)
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I think the Media Advisory document reads well, because it actually represents all of the actions that were agreed for this date, rather than focusing only one any one action. The mention of the IWPTs however is missing, and depending on whether this is note that covers all actions of GCAP or there is another one on similar lines that is going to be made and actively promoted by the Communications Group we should also try to fit this in.
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Best, Lysa</div>

<div>Dear friends,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I'm forwarding an e-mail which serves to raise an issue which I think we should look at more closely, and that is the representation of the FTF on the various task forces, issue teams and sub-groups. Ana and I have had a preliminary discussion and I wanted to share this concern with the group to see how we can work together to figure out a solution.
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Over the past months the subgroups and issue teams centered around the GCAP mobilization has increased. Because I follow the Mobilization Task Force (a lot goes through this group) I'm receiving lots of e-mails about this and that teleconference call---Ambassadors sub-group, Stand-Up group, Media Team, Communication Team. There's also the Future Structure Team and the IFT. So, I thought we might re-look at the assignments. There's much going on right now and lots of material being reviewed in view of the 17 of October mobilization in two plus months. Between Ana and myself covering the IFT and the MTF, respectively, we catch most, if not all, however there's much more coming at us now and we should be prepared to provide input at the point of introducing new material, new releases, the tool kit, logos,....
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I'm listing the groups below and the designated person to cover it---to the best of my knowledge the designated person, so if I'm wrong, please forgive me. This exercise is to initiate a dialogue about who is, can, can no longer, would like to cover an issue group, for lack of a better word.
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Group Designated person Back-up</div>
<div>IFT Ana Rosa</div>
<div>Mobilization Task Force Rosa by request; no one set person--</div>
<div>Ambassadors sub-group of </div>
<div> MTF Rosa (by default but is frankly too much - ANY VOLUNTEERS?</div>
<div>Stand Up sub-group no one (Is any one from the regions following this group?)</div>
<div>
<div>Media Group ????? am unaware of who has been designate - was it Chona?</div>
<div>Communications Group Chona ??? no one</div></div>
<div> </div>
<div>
<div>Future Structure Group Rosa Josephine (MEast rep--can you be a back-up?)</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Per my assessment, we need coverage for the following:</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Media Group</div>
<div>Ambassadors sub-group</div>
<div>Stand-up sub-group</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Clarification needed - Chona, are you covering both Communications and Media? </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Lysa, there was mention of asking you to join one group as the Asian representative, but I am not recalling which one that is at the moment. Are you covering any that might help us above? Is this type of arrangement feasible?
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>What am I missing? We have our own new group forming on the Tribunals which is developing and at this point will leave out of this list. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Well, women, please give me your feedback. There are some GCAPers that have as their only job to work on GCAP which is not the case with many of us, and these folks are mainly from the North, so sometimes a Southern perspective is not included until the IFT level, which could be too late. Also, we have some gender advocates but at times they are not "getting it" so therefore they are not putting it in. At this point, it's crucial we provide oversight and input. Thanks for taking the time to read this and providing your support.
</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Oh, and can someone volunteer to cover the Media Team Teleconference call this Friday???? ;)</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Warm regards,</div>
<div> </div>
