I did mention to Ciara on the Media call on Friday about including "gender equality" as a demand and about the tribunals. She said she had included it. It was a good call---not to much regional representation---from Africa and Europe, that's it. But, there's time to get on board. Chona, I know you've been busy with recent activities in Asia but I'm wondering if you were to be covering this group (???) or the other communications group? So many have sprouted. Well, let me know---OR IF THERE IS ANYONE ELSE WITH PARTICULAR EXPERIENCE/INTEREST IN MEDIA WHO CAN TAKE OVER THIS GROUP---PLEASE LET US KNOW. I did send some language to include in the Mob. Tool Kit on the IWTP, so Sarah said it will be included there. The new draft is coming out real soon---ALERT--take a look NOW because it's going to print and translation SOON! I do hope this is something that will be addressed across the Taskforces! (Chona, this is also something we must raise within the Asia groups too) I think the Media Advisory document reads well, because it actually represents all of the actions that were agreed for this date, rather than focusing only one any one action. The mention of the IWPTs however is missing, and depending on whether this is note that covers all actions of GCAP or there is another one on similar lines that is going to be made and actively promoted by the Communications Group we should also try to fit this in.
