<DIV><FONT size=2>I am writing to you with an urgent request as we must send in
the names of our representatives at the Global Assembly. As we talked about in
our last call, the FTF can nominate one rep per region. The regions
are:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>1. Latin America and the Caribbean</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>2. North America </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>3. Africa</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>4. Europe</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>5. Arab Region</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>6. SENCA Region</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>7. South Asia</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>There are some regions where the option is clear as there is
only one of you in that particular region which is a member of the facilitation
team, like in the case of Europe (Luisa) and the Arab Region (Josephine).
In the other regions we have two or three and in one (SENCA) we do not have
anyone. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>We need to take a decision between today and Monday so I can
send this at the latest on Monday. Letīs agree on how we are going to take the
decision on who will represent the FTF. In the call we had also agreed that you
should try to be elected as representatives from your national coalitions. I saw
the list sent by Latin America and unfortunately Martha Rico is not nominated
for the region, they are assuming that Martha will go on behalf of the FTF. We
need to come up with a solution to ensure that as many of us will be there as
possible. Rosa and I will go as members of the Global Council.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>We also need to agree on a process of selection for the next
representatives to the Global Council. As you know, I have been there since 2006
and Rosa as my alternate. This must change as there is a limit in the time
people can be members of the Global Council. So before September we have to
engage on a process that will result in the election/nomination of our new
representatives at the Global Council. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>As Rosa is not around these days, it is difficult to take
final decisions, but I think she will be back next week. Letīs all aim at having
a Skype call early next week.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Please, reply to this message with the highest urgency you can
as these issues need to be resolved very soon. Thanks!!!!</FONT></DIV>
