<LI>On MDG 1. I would like to emphasize the relationship between ffd
and MDGs, as related to ODAs and debt elimination. The fact that the
0.7% is not met by the majority of developed countries is not only the
result of financial crisis, it is also the lack of commitment from their
part. Would like to propose that there should be a mechanism (and may
be sanctions) to ensure that ODAs and debt elimination are on the
agenda of the developed countries.
<LI>When it comes to climate change MDG 7. Women are the most affected
by climate change, In Africa, droughts and floods are very common now as a
result of climate change. The consequences on farmers (70% of
farmers in Africa are women) and on displacement and immigration and
housing are tremendous. Would recommend taking this into consideration
when planning on adaptation, mitigation, simple technologies, and especially
financing.
<LI>Would recommend to refer to the UNDP annual report to quote facts and
figures on women and children mortality rates, HIV/AIDS and Malariah.
<LI>Gender justice is still far from reach, we should continue to raise
awareness at all levels</LI></UL> <BR>In the past five years, a lot
was done by FTF on raising women awareness and policy makers about women
and poverty, this should continue on a larger scale taking into
consideration the current challenges facing women and
development.<BR> <BR>I will be available for the conference call on

(which you can see below) and I am attaching the English translation for all
