English translation of Gina Vargas message sent today....
  Dear friends,

  Unfortunately, I will not be in NYC on Sep. 8, since I had previous commitments that I could not change.  I will arrive on the 13th and will participate in the Open UN, on the panel: From the MDGs to the Reform of the UN. 

  I hope I will enter in immediate contact with you all, and to get to know the strategies you will be using to influence the Summit.  

  I am, as most of you probably are, outraged and atonished of the infinite arrogance of the US government, and I hope to reflect that in my intervention as well. I have read carefully all hearing documents and many others, and I am finding a connection with many of them, particularly the ones of the feminist networks, which are good, radical and insightful. 

  Soon, I will be sending you an outline of the main ideas of my intervention, so that you can send me suggestions.
