Hola Ana. muchas gracias por mantenernos informadas de todo. En este caso sobre el libro de fotografías, desde CNS nos gustaría poder aportar el registro fotográfico de las movidas de GCAP, con las performances que se hicieron que fueron muy creativas y artísticas y pensamos que pueden ser un aporte para ese libro. No sé si ese proyecto ya se cerró o si recién se abre por eso te pregunto y -en caso de que hubiera oportunidad de incorporarlas- podríamos darle el material a Adelaida para que las entregara.   CIVICUS is involved in a coffee table book project about GCAP. I am fowarding the information and the links. As you see in the message it will be launched at CIVICUS World Assembly which will take place from 21 to 25 June in Glasgow. ICAE has been invited to participate in one workshop and Adelaida Entenza will attend. She will share her views when she returns.
  If any of you have any comments on the book project you can send them to me or directly to Henri.

  CIVICUS tiene un proyecto para la elaboración de un libro de fotografias sobre GCAP. En el mensaje de abajo podrán encontrar los links. Piensan presentarlo en su Asamblea Mundial que tendrá lugar en Glasgow, del 21 al 25 de junio. ICAE fue invitado a participar en un taller e irá Adelaida Entenza. A su regreso compartirá sus impresiones.

  It is a zip file, but still huge. It will take you sometime to download it.

  What is needed: FEED-BACK on the overall project and support! We also need someone from the task-force to team up with Henri and to do some web editing in the upcoming weeks. 

  Background: Neal mc Kenna/CIVICUS initiative, the White Band Book is a coffee table which chronicles the activities of the GCAP movement in 2005. It provides an overview of the birth of GCAP in a diary/scrapbook format showcasing key dates in 2005 as well as personal accounts. The book's intended purpose is to raise the awareness levels of the "haves" in the world on the issues of poverty and social justice. The book will contain adequate descriptive text but primarily, the GCAP story will be told in pictures.

  Language used will simplify the facts and figures so that the reader is able to clearly relate to the issues of poverty. Using examples like how many poor children could be fed with the money we each spend every morning on a cup of coffee at a coffee shop. This can be an extremely powerful motivator especially if the information is accompanied with an appropriately moving photograph.

  The book will firstly be put on a website: www.whitebandbook.org. We will market this site and fund raising will be done to produce the book.

  Status of the project: a first draft is done and the website is up but empty. Few stories will soon be uploaded, in order to launch this web site at the upcoming CIVICUS World Assembly. The writer, Neal Mc Kenna has completed his task. The website and its design have been proposed by the web review consultants
