Subject: update on global plans October 17

Dear regional secretariats,

Could you please forward this email to national coalitions?

Thank you to everyone who supplied information regarding their plans for
October 17. Attached is a spreadsheet compiling all of the information
we have received so far from national coalitions and some partner
organisations.

The purpose this spreadsheet is:

-        for national coalitions to see the "global picture" of events
around the world and the political demands taking place

-        to show all the other events that are not part of the stand up

-        for the global support team and secretariats to see where they
might be able to provide support and follow up on / after the day

-        to update the whiteband website

-        for us to be able to identify some highlights for global media
releases

It is an internal document and NOT to be sent to the media in its
current form, as plans are subject to change. We have prepared a media
release with highlights for this purpose.

Please also note this will not be used for event registration for stand
up - ALL event organizers must register their own events on
www.standagainstpoverty.org <http://www.standagainstpoverty.org/>  The
site also contains many events independently organized through outreach
efforts.

Do take the time to look through and see what is going on in all the
regions. While we have done our best to compile as much information and
as accurately as possible, there are still many gaps and I am sure many
changes. Let us know and we can re-circulate at the end of the week if
need be - but we will start again next week with collecting the stories
and photos from the day.

together and best of luck for your plans on October 17.
