[Gcap-mujeres] FTF ANNUAL REPORT

Dear friends,
queridas amigas (español abajo)

I am attaching to this message the annual report of the FTF that was 
prepared with inputs from the facilitation team members and with the 
information you have been sending about your activities throughout the year. 
You will see that we have really done a lot, and above all, we have managed 
to place the demand for gender equality to end poverty as a central one for 
GCAP. This is reflected in the mobilisation of the 8th of March and in the 
fact that for a second consecutive year that date was chosen as the first 
global mobilisation of GCAP and in this occasion as the moment to launch all 
the activities of the year. We have concrete plans for 2008 and beyond that 
we hope to implement with a higher number of FTF members around the world.
This year is also the transition one for GCAP towards a new structure and we 
will soon join the election process that GCAP as a whole is embarked upon. 
Rosa and I will be sending you further information. For now, please have a 
look at the annual report. It goes without annexes as otherwise it would be 
too heavy, but if you would like to receive any of the mentioned annexes, 
please let us know.

adjunto les envío el informe anual del ETF que fue preparado con aportes de 
las integrantes del equipo facilitador y con informaciones que ustedes han 
estado enviando a lo largo del año sobre vuestras actividades. Verán cuánto 
hemos hecho y sobre todo, que hemos logrado que la demanda de igualdad de 
género para poner fin a la pobreza pase a ser central para GCAP en su 
conjunto. Esto se refleja en la movilización alrededor del 8 de marzo y en 
el hecho de que por segundo año consecutivo se haya elegido el 8 de marzo 
como primer día de movilización global. Este año además se seleccionó esa 
fecha para lanzar el plan de movilización para todo el año.
Tenemos planes concretos de movilización para los próximos tres años y 
confiamos en implementarlos con un número mayor de integrantes del ETF 
alrededor del mundo.
Este año además es el de la transición de GCAP hacia una nueva estructura y 
pronto nos uniremos al proceso electoral en el que está embarcado GCAP. Rosa 
y yo les mandaremos información en breve. Por ahora les agradecemos si leen 
el informe. Va sin anexos porque son muy pesado, pero si les interesa 
recibir alguno en particular no tienen más que escribir pidiéndolo.  Por 
ahora está en inglés pero en breve estará también en español.
