Queridas amigas (espanhol abajo).
dear friends,

A new group will be formed within GCAP, one dealing with climate change and 
its link to poverty. The idea is to have representatives from all 
constituencies, so as FTF we should nomimate a person to represent us in the 
working group. I am putting the information to the list to see if any of you 
would like to volunteer to be part of the team. The TOR are attached. Thanks 
in advance!

se va a crear un nuevo grupo de GCAP para trabajar el tema de cambio 
climatico y su relacion con la pobreza. La idea es que este grupo tenga 
representantes de todos los grupos y coaliciones activos en GCAP y como 
equipo de trabajo feminista tenemos un lugar. Pongo la informacion en la 
lista para consultarles si alguna de ustedes quisiera incorporarse a ese 
grupo representandonos. Van adjuntos (en ingles) los terminos de referencia.

Constituency groups

Subject:  Nominations for the Climate Change Working Group

Dear friends

I am sending you a terms of reference of the working group on Climate Change
approved by IFT. The group is formed to bring climate change as a key focus
within GCAP for our policy and actions in the year 2008 and beyond. As you
will see that the group will comprised or representatives from regions
(Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East, Latin America and Caribbean, North
America) and constituency groups (Feminists task force, CYTF, Workers)
besides some experts in the fields of climate change. We therefore request
your input to nominate the representatives who have been involved in the
actions and lobby work on the issue of climate change in your region,
constituency groups according to the suggestive formula (however if there
are more people in your region that can contribute constructively in the
global process please share their names and details):

-          Asia 3 representatives

-          Europe, Africa and LAC 2 members each

-          North America and Middle East 1 representative each

-          One representative each from FTF, CYTF, Workers

-          2-3 experts from climate change networks, institutions

-          Convener (IFT support team)
May I request you to send the nominations by Friday February 29th to Ben
Margolis on bmargolis en oxfam.org.uk who will be the convener of the working
group. Should you have any comment or suggestion please do not hesitate to
write to me.
