GCAP is working on a three year plan for which is asking for comments from all constituencies. We are active reading and making some suggestions. It would be great if you read it, particularly the section on Women's rights and gender justice as central issue of poverty eradication (5.1. of the document), There is time till 20 November, so if you have comments, please send them to the list or directly to Rosa or me shortly before that date so we have time to introduce your comments. You can see below the links to access the document in English and in other languages. Thanks!

GCAP está trabajando en un un plan de tres años para el cual están pidiendo comentarios de las coaliciones nacionales y los equipos de trabajo. Nosotras estamos trabajando en los comentarios, pero sería muy bueno si ustedes pueden leerlo, particularmente la sección "Derechos de las mujeres y justicia de género como asunto central para la erradicación de la pobreza" (punto 5.1. del documento). Abajo está el link para el documento en español y otros idiomas. Hay tiempo hasta el 20 de noviembre para mandar comentarios, de manera que les agradecemos que si tuvieran algo que quisieran agregar o cambiar nos lo hicieran llegar, directamente a la lista or a Rosa o a mí, un par de días antes para que lo podamos introducir. Dear friends

I hope all of you will be keeping well. GCAP's Strategic Direction Group in its telecall last week has decided to extend the date of final comments and suggestions on 3-year strategic plan document (2009-11) till November 20. The group took this decision in light of the fact that coalitions and constituency groups were busy with the mobilization around Stand-up and Take Action DAYS and was not possible for most of them to focus on this important document and send comments till Oct 15. It was also recognized in the call that the document should be updated by adding details on the current financial crisis and other challenges facing civil society before presenting to Global Council on December 18 for final review and approval. Please note that SD group will review all the comments from the coalitions and regions and will incorporate those in the document by the end of November.
