Dear Lysa,
thank you very much for your comments. As you were also there it is good to know your feedback and to follow the advice in terms of getting commitment from European colleagues to join the FTF. If Luisa could follow up on that, it would be great as those colleagues from Portugal could help not just organise a tribunal in Europe but also to implement the FTF activities in the region throughout the year. We look forward to Luisa's follow-up.

muchas gracias por tus comentarios. Dado que estuviste también en la reunión es muy bueno conocer tu opinión y también tener en cuenta el consejo de obtener ahora compromisos por parte de los colegas europeos para que se integren al ETF. Sería muy bueno que Luisa le diera seguimiento a la propuesta de los colegas de Portugal lo que nos ayudaría a organizar el tribunal en Europa y también en la implemetación de las actividades del ETF a lo largo del año. Quedamos a la espera del seguimiento que pueda hacer Luisa.

  Thanks for sharing this. Luisa's report is very well written and I endorse her assessments, as well as the interest that was expressed towards the Tribunals & Poverty Hearings in the GCAP Europe meeting. While several countries have expressed their interest, it would be important to reinforce this by immediately speaking to the persons involved and sending across background materials that would help them to visualize and take the same forward. Infact in addition to the written Guide, perhaps we can also make a short film on the Tribunals using the photo & video clips from across the events. We would be able to explore support for the editing in India if required.

  I do remember that at least 2 people, including Bruno from Portugal had volunteered themselves as regional representatives to the FTF from within the region. It would be good to connect with Julien (Europe Secretariat) to get the final nominations to the taksforce so that we can sustain the momentum that has been created.

    queridas amigas (español abajo),

    The GCAP Europe Assembly took place last week in Russia and we were represented by Luisa, who is a member of our facilitation team representing Europe. She has sent us the attached report. Something that is important for us is that we have been trying to promote tribunals in Europe and from Luisa's report it seems that there is a growing interest. Luisa will follow up on this, but it would be very good if those of you who are in Europe can also get involved in the process of organising women's tribunals. As you know, we hope to have guides ready for early 2009 that can be used in the preparation of the tribunals. 
    Thanks to Luisa, and we will be sending more information as soon as preparations for the European tribunals start.

    Queridas amigas,
    la semana pasada tuvo lugar la asamblea de GCAP Europa en Rusia y estuvimos representadas por Luisa, quien integra nuestro equipo facilitador representando a Europa. Luisa nos mandó el informe adjunto. Un tema importante para nosotras es que queremos promover la realización de tribunales en Europa y del informe de Luisa sale que hay un interés grande. Ella le va a dar seguimiento pero sería muy bueno que nuestras compañeras en Europa también se sumaran a esta iniciativa.
    Gracias a Luisa y les mandaremos más información a medida que comiencen a concretarse los tribunales en Europa.
