The Doha Civil Society Forum, titled 'Investing in People Centred
Development', _concluded its first day_

H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Mutib Al Rumaihi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
for Qatar opened the Forum and wished them success in their work. Roberto
Bisssio, Coordinator of Social Watch, gave the keynote address. After
reviewing the status of intergovernmental negotiations on the draft outcome document,
the participants separated into breakout groups on the six chapters of the
Monterrey Consensus. The impacts of the current crises – financial, food, fuel
and climate change – were also a central theme of discussions throughout the
 day.
