Dear friends,

Queridas amigas,

For those of you who will be at the CSW, I share this invitation I received
for an activity I certainly think will be very interesting related to gender
and climate change, which as you know is one of our focal areas. I hope
several of you will be able to attend.

Para las que participarán de la CSW, les envío esta invitación a una
actividad que seguramente será muy interesante, relacionada con género y
cambio climático, uno de los temas en los que nos estamos enfocando como
ETF. Confío que varias de ustedes puedan ir.

Un abrazo,

Ana

Delegates Dining Room 1st floor UN Headquarters

This interactive panel discussion and dialogue will feature grassroots women
leaders from climate threatened urban and rural communities in Africa, Asia
and Latin America describing the innovative local initiatives their
organizations are leading to offset the impact of climate threats to women's
livelihoods, living and working conditions, health and well being. Focusing
on sustaining and growing bottom up approaches, the presenters will pinpoint
governmental and institutional support that is essential to ensuring climate
finance catalyzes grassroots women's collective participation and roles as
change agents in climate resilient development.

To support this agenda and illustrate how collaborative efforts can advance
gender just climate change policy and programming, officials and experts
from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the World Bank, Guatemala
and India will

share actions they are taking to promote similar goals.
