As of January 3, 2011, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the
Empowerment of Women (UN Women) is a fully operational United Nations agency.
Its focus areas are:

 *   Violence against Women
 *    Peace and Security
 *   Leadership and Participation
 *   Economic Empowerment
 *   National Planning and Budgeting
 *   Human Rights
 *   Millennium Development Goals

UN Women is currently recruiting for two senior positions that will provide
leadership, management and oversight within the new agency. Both positions
report to the Under Secretary General:
