Thank you very much Rehana for your
message. As you probably know we have two focal points in your region, Pam

region. The same applies to all regions because we have focal points in each of

The other major way of being involved with the FTF
is to ensure that the activities that take place in your respective countries or
regions have a gender message. Be critical of the GCAP documents, check whether
or not they highlight the plight of women and women´s contributions. Make sure
that the demands include also demands for gender equality. In separate messages
I am sending some materials for you to use to put forward some of these
messages. Let us know what you think of the materials, if they are useful, make
comments of how you would like to improve them.

Below is the list of all GCAP websites. Send
information to those that are in your region, send them information you have on
gender specific activities and demands. Our influence as FTF within GCAP and in
achieving our demands depends on the participation of all of us, on ensuring
that there is an important presence in all communications, mobilisations, etc.
When you receive materials from GCAP general, make comments and suggest how can
they incorporate gender considerations. We need to be attentive and demanding
and it is a challenge that we all share. Let´s support each other on that.
I hope we will increase our presence and influence as the 17 of October gets
closer!
