I wanted to share with you that last week I made two presentations in
relation to poverty at the University of Frankfurt. <br>
You will see the attached poster of the activity held on 8 July. That was
a panel discussion organized by the doctoral research group
'Normative Conditions of Development Cooperation', which is part of
the Cluster of Excellence 'The Formation of Normative Orders' at
Goethe University Frankfurt am Main
(<a href="http://www.normativeorders.com">www.normativeorders.com</a>
).<br>
On the 9th of July I was invited to a colloquium with graduate students,
doctoral and postdoctoral scholars from various disciplines at the
Frankfurt Research Centre for Postcolonial Studies (FRCPS). <br>
<br>
It was an opportunity to highlight the centrality of gender equality as
well as of education throughout life as key for poverty eradication. At
the colloquium in particular I had the chance to expand on the work of
the FTF and of my organisation in this field. I shared with them the
experience of the poverty hearings and the women's tribunals on poverty
and gender. <br>
I think it is very interesting and relevant to interact with academics as
research in this field can make a great difference in the work we do on
the ground. <br>

Quería compartir con ustedes que la semana pasada hice dos presentaciones
en la Universidad de Frankfurt sobre el tema pobreza.<br>
Verán en el poster adjunto información sobre la actividad del 8 de julio,
fue un panel de discusión organizado por el grupo de investigación de
doctorantes "Condiciones Normativas en la Cooperación al
Desarrollo" que hace parte del "Cluster of Excellence - 'The
Formation of Normative Orders' - en la Universidad Goethe en Frankfurt.

Para el 9 de julio me invitaron a un coloquio con estudiantes de grado,
doctorantes y post doctorantes de diversas disciplinas del Centro de
Investigación en Estudios Postcoloniales de Frankfurt. Fue una
oportunidad para resaltar la centralidad de la igualdad de género así
como de la educación a lo largo de la vida como elementos centrales para
la erradicación de la pobreza. En el coloquio me pude extender sobre el
trabajo que realizamos en el ETF y también en mi organización en este
campo. En particular compartí información sobre las audiencias contra la
pobreza y los varios tribunales que hemos organizado sobre pobreza y
género. <br>
Creo que es importante articular con el ámbito académico ya que la
investigación en este campo puede aportar significativamente al trabajo
que se realiza en terreno. <br>
