llevados a su domicilio para la reparación, ya que en el Corralón no tenían las
condiciones necesarias ni de higiene para reparar. Manifiesta que los dos

recibió</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt"> al Sr.</SPAN><SPAN
lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> José de los Santos actual encargado del
Taller mecánico del Corralón de Bella Unión</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt">, el día 11 de</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> octubre, quien vuelve</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY

algún convenio entre <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Intendencia">la

w:st="on" ProductID="la Comisi?n">la Comisión</st1:PersonName> deja constancia
que fue invitado a concurrir a <st1:PersonName w:st="on"
ProductID="la Comisi?n">la Comisión</st1:PersonName></SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt">, el Sr.</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">
Osvaldo Yamandú Fernández y recibimos una nota la que adjuntamos conjuntamente
con las boletas y comprobantes de pago de las mismas- en dicha nota nos
manifestó que no concurriría a la reunión por razones de trabajo. Esa era
una razón. Otra era que ya había concurrido a una Comisión Investigadora,
explícitamente la de los cheques, por lo tanto, lo que había declarado en esa
Comisión, era lo que tenía que declarar. Y si nosotros necesitábamos alguna
otra información, sería por escrito. Informaciones de último momento
indican a esta Comisión, que la boleta</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt"> 407 de</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">
este informe, que dijimos haber sido pago un monto</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY

Investigadora</st1:PersonName>, la que entiende que el mismo no ha concluido,
pues quedan sin revisar un sinnúmero de boletas de diferentes firmas
comerciales, proveedores de <st1:PersonName w:st="on"

de Bella Unión, para lo cual estamos solicitando la autorización del Plenario
para continuar en la investigación de las mismas.<BR><SPAN

el "Florencio Sánchez", a partir de lo cual tiene una devoción tal por esta
figura, que nos pidió tener la exclusividad en el acondicionamiento del Panteón;

subterránea que durante décadas abasteció a barrios enteros del oeste de

1860,</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> los habitantes de
<st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="La Teja">La Teja</st1:PersonName>, pero
también los del Cerro y el Paso Molino, iban a pie o a caballo hasta la esquina
de Heredia y Molina, para abastecerse de agua en la
cachimba.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT
face="Times New Roman"><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>La llegada del agua
corriente al barrio era impensable a inicios del siglo</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY

fue durante años. La que brotaba de la cachimba era la única con la que se
proveían los vecinos. La pureza de su agua se hizo famosa y servía para todos

style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">la fuente quedó inutilizable, como consecuencia de la
contaminación provocada por los residuos arrastrados por la lluvia. A mediados
de los años</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> 60,</SPAN><SPAN
lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> el vecino Walter Victoria recuperó este
patrimonio montevideano, con apoyo de <st1:PersonName w:st="on"
ProductID="la Intendencia">la Intendencia</st1:PersonName> -que aportó
adoquines- y otros habitantes del barrio. Profundizó el pozo, construyó un muro
para impedir que ingresara la basura e instaló una canilla para modernizar el
viejo sistema. La gente volvió a buscar agua a la
cachimba.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
