Soccer (donde se presentará <st1:PersonName w:st="on"

para personas físicas -no para empresas- que paguen con tarjetas de crédito o
débito. Los sectores que podrán brindar este beneficio al turista serán:
gastronomía, servicios de catering y de fiestas, alquileres de autos sin chofer
y alquileres de casas con fines turísticos. Un punto importante de esta decisión
es que beneficiará a todas las personas y no solamente a los turistas
extranjeros y en todo el país. Es decir, un ciudadano uruguayo que coma en un
restaurant y pague con tarjeta, abonará el</FONT></SPAN><FONT
face="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; mso-ansi-language: ES">
14%,</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; mso-ansi-language: ES"> en vez

Honoraria</st1:PersonName> de Lucha Contra el Cáncer, presentan una serie de
recomendaciones y precauciones al momento de exponerse al
sol.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT
face="Times New Roman"><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Se ha comprobado que la
radiación ultravioleta</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt">
(UV)</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> solar, más intensa en
primavera y verano, causa daños en la salud de ojos, sistema inmunológico y
especialmente en la piel, con efectos nocivos que van desde las quemaduras y
envejecimiento, hasta el desarrollo de cáncer de
piel.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT
face="Times New Roman"><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Por lo expuesto, se aconseja
incorporar las siguientes recomendaciones: Evitar la exposición directa al sol
entre</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> las 11 y las 17hs;
</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">Protegerse buscando zonas de
sombra: árboles, enramadas, sombrillas y techos; Aumentar el consumo de líquidos
para evitar la deshidratación: agua potable y jugos naturales; Incorporar más
frutas y verduras en la alimentación diaria; Utilizar: vestimenta que cubra lo
más posible hombros, brazos y piernas, preferentemente de trama compacta y
colores oscuros; sombrero de ala ancha que proteja cara, cuello y orejas; lentes
de sol con filtro</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt"> UV-A y
UV-B;</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> protector solar con factor
mayor a 15, adecuado a la edad, tipo de piel y
actividad.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT
face="Times New Roman"><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Todas las personas deben
protegerse de los efectos de la radiación</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 8pt"> UV,</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> ya
que se acumulan en la piel a lo largo de toda la
vida.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Especial cuidado requieren
los niños y jóvenes, porque su piel es más sensible y pasan una gran cantidad de
tiempo al aire libre. El mayor daño a causa del sol ocurre antes de
los</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> 18 </SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">años.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>También es importante que la
población expuesta por actividades laborales a los efectos dañinos del sol,
integre medidas de protección cuando dichas actividades se desarrollan al aire
libre.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

medidas preventivas, se integran pautas que contribuyen con el cuidado y
conservación de la salud. Las actividades recreativas, deportivas y laborales al
aire libre se desarrollan en mejores condiciones. Para mejorar la salud, para
mejorar la calidad de vida de todos, hoy y cada

comprende plan de atención médica y difusión de guías de vida saludable en la

esta época del año son importantes las cifras de accidentes en ese sentido
(muertes por ahogamiento); la prevención por accidentes de tránsito debido al
incremento en el mismo; el riesgo de ocurrencia de incendios que vienen
afectando fuertemente la zona costera, también estamos en una época del año
donde aumentan las enfermedades de transmisión alimentaria, además de otras
recomendaciones de carácter general, que están incluidas en el material a ser
difundido en todos los puntos donde los Directores Departamentales entiendan que
hay un flujo de personas, independientemente de eso también en los Centros de
Salud del Ministerio de Salud, además del valioso aporte de los medios de

Pública prohibió la venta callejera de lentes de sol, los que sólo se podrán
comercializar en las ópticas. Las autoridades recordaron que el uso de anteojos

UV </SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">puede causar trastornos. A
partir de ahora los lentes de sol solo pueden venderse e importarse para las

que modifica una norma anterior en la materia se decidió por razones sanitarias,

causar trastornos. Por más oscuros que parezcan, la mayoría de los lentes que

vista que la propia falta de anteojos, dijo el jerarca. "Cuando uno usa anteojos
o vidrios oscurecidos, en realidad está exponiéndose de forma mayor a la
radiación ultravioleta para que ingrese directamente a la retina que si no usa
ninguno de esos vidrios. Y eso daña la retina, favorece el desarrollo de
cataratas y otra serie de vasculopatías que puedan repercutir seriamente en la

población en general, tendrán en cuanta el Índice de Riesgo Forestal, para la
programación y realización de cualquier actividad que directa o indirectamente
implique riesgo de incendio. Dicha información es suministrada a diario por

a la denuncia Policial para que se adopten las medidas pertinentes en función de

la enfermedad por todo el continente y del reingreso del mosquito al territorio
nacional, Uruguay ha logrado evitar el dengue, a través de un plan de vigilancia
y control del Aedes aegypti. No se ha registrado ningún caso de dengue
autóctono, lo que convierte a Uruguay en la única excepción del
continente.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT
face="Times New Roman"><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>El Aedes aegypti había sido
eliminado del Uruguay en</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">

iniciada por el Ministerio de Salud Pública en</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY

No se registra ningún caso autóctono de la enfermedad<SPAN

insecto se dispersó por toda América y en</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> 1997 </SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">reapareció en Uruguay. En Montevideo y el área
metropolitana tampoco se ha constatado la presencia del mosquito, por lo que las
intendencias y el Ministerio de Salud Pública están coordinando acciones para
mantener este estado.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

semanas. Los síntomas se tratan normalmente con reposo y tomando líquidos. Se
pueden utilizar medicamentos para bajar la fiebre, indicados por el

carácter explosivo, pero la tasa de letalidad es muy baja, siempre que no

limpia estancada en recipientes de paredes duras. Por tanto, la prevención se
basa en "negarle el agua", es decir evitando la formación de reservorios.

style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman">Las medidas<SPAN

en la casa como en el trabajo.<BR><SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>-
No disponer botellas, latas, macetas u otros recipientes en el exterior,
evitando que se llenen de agua de lluvia.<BR><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>- Vaciar recipientes que contengan agua
sin una utilidad definida; Evitar la disposición de neumáticos, tanto nuevos
como usados, a la intemperie; En los cementerios, sustituir agua por arena
húmeda en macetas y floreros; Limpiar los drenajes de lluvia de techos y
azoteas; Evitar en los jardines y fondos la existencia de recipientes y adornos
que acumulen agua de lluvia; Mantener terrenos<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>baldíos libres de desechos y recipientes
en desusos que acumulen agua; Revisar que los tanques de agua de casas y
edificios se encuentren debidamente tapados; Manejar correctamente los residuos
sólidos (basura) y evitar la disposición abierta de residuos líquidos; En
piscinas y fuentes, el agua debe estar higiénicamente tratada y se debe cambiar
su nivel reiteradamente.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

incluyen los tipos inmunológicos</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">
1, 2, 3 y 4.</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> Los reservorios del
virus son el mosquito y el hombre. La infección se trasmite por la picadura de
mosquitos, principalmente el Aedes aegypti, una especie hematófaga diurna con
mayor actividad de picadura dos horas antes del amanecer. Estos mosquitos se
encuentran cerca de las viviendas de los humanos, a menudo dentro de las
viviendas. La infección no se trasmite directamente de una persona a
otra.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman"><SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>La primera vez que una
persona es contagiada por uno de estos virus, adquiere el dengue clásico. Esta
persona no volverá a padecer dengue por el mismo serotipo, pero queda expuesta a
los demás. Si la persona vuelve a ser picada por un mosquito infestado, portador
de uno de los tres restantes serotipos, puede sufrir un dengue hemorrágico, de
mayor gravedad. Se dice entonces que el dengue: la primera vez golpea, la
segunda vez puede matar.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

más a menudo en áreas urbanas, pero podría encontrarse también en áreas rurales,

constituye un problema cada vez más grave para los países de América, que se han
visto afectados por numerosas epidemias o pandemias a partir del año</SPAN><SPAN
lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> 1977.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><FONT

históricas sobre brotes de dengue se sitúan en la isla de Java en</SPAN><SPAN

style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">y en Filadelfia (Estados Unidos de América)

style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt"> En América, los relatos sobre esta afección se remontan
a más de</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> 200 </SPAN><SPAN
lang=ES-UY style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt">años. En el siglo</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY

primera epidemia de dengue clásico en América, comprobada por laboratorio,
ocurrió en el Caribe y Venezuela en los años</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY

enfermedad se atribuye a varios factores. El dengue es una enfermedad
fundamentalmente urbana. El proceso creciente de urbanización, con aumento de la
densidad poblacional en las grandes ciudades, genera mayor posibilidad de
transmisión del virus.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

para el traslado del virus entre los centros poblacionales. La reinfestación de
la mayor parte de América tropical por Aedes aegypti, su resistencia a los
insecticidas y la ausencia de una vacuna eficaz para el ser humano completan el
cuadro favorable a la difusión de la infección.</SPAN><SPAN lang=ES-UY
