cometían los delitos no eran charrúas sino bandoleros comunes en la campaña que
se hacían pasar por indios.<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

violadas eran las chinas charrúas, de cuyos embarazos surgieron tantos mestizos
que luego dieron origen al gaucho y miles de descendientes. Recordemos que
durante dos siglos y medio a partir de la conquista, solo llegaban a estas
tierras hombres solos y en <st1:PersonName w:st="on"
ProductID="la Banda Oriental">la Banda Oriental</st1:PersonName> no existía
ninguna mujer blanca todavía, entonces es fácil imaginar quien violaba a

estaba conversando con un cronista de la época y pasaron unos indios corriendo a
otro. Se excusó el cacique y alcanzó al perseguido dándole algunos "macanazos"
(palos) y derribándolo del caballo. Al volver al trote, dijo simplemente al
cronista: "robó…robó."<o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

teniendo en cuenta la cultura y la libertad de aquel pueblo que habitaba desde

como si por ser arcaica no tuviera sus valores que ya hemos expuesto, no
hubieran sido valientes, defensores de la independencia, y aliados de Artigas.
Nos preguntamos si por ser arcaicos no tenían derecho a vivir como todo ser
humano.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

los charrúas, y que todos esos derechos fueron violados al ser matados como

Toda esta realidad tan actual, tan documentada está siendo negada por algunas
personas que tienen la función de educar y trasmitir con veracidad los hechos
históricos. La defensa tan forzada y con argumentos rebuscados que se hace de
Rivera y las acusaciones sin fundamento contra los charrúas constituyen una <B
style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">apología del genocidio perpetrado
en</B></SPAN><B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><SPAN lang=ES-UY
style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: black"> 1831.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></FONT></P>

el genocidio y el fraude ya no tienen cabida. Es la hora de la verdad y de la
