Francisco de Borja, pero de Cuzco, centro neurálgico del siempre incaico Perú,
fue educado José Gabriel Condorcanqui. Era un ambiente de estudios exclusivo
para caciques. Como tal se le mantuvo, supervisado por las autoridades
conquistadoras en los territorios de Pampamarca, Surimana y Tungasunca.
<BR>Conocido es el hondo impacto causado por su rebelión, y el salvajismo
elevado a su máxima potencia por la manera en como fue "ajusticiado". José
Gervasio Artigas tenía entonces dieciséis años. <BR>
José, el cacique peruano, era "ñemoñaré" de Tupac Amaru, con quien culminó una
dinastía de cuatrocientos años de imperio andino; José, "el gran cacique"
oriental, descendía de la "ñusta" Beatriz Tupac Yupanki 1, princesa de los
mismos incas. Ambas estirpes directas por vía materna. <BR>
Tanto J. Gabriel como J. Gervasio se movían con facilidad a ambos lados de las
fronteras culturales que separaban el universo indígena del europeo.
<BR> "Padre de todos los pobres, miserables y desvalidos"
llamaban sus kechuas y aymaras al primero; el segundo era el "padre de los
indios" entre pampas y guaraníes del monte y de las misiones jesuitas del
Paraná, el Paraguay y el alto Uruguay, también fue el “padre de los pobres”
repartidor de tierras o alimentos.<BR> Los dos arrastraron
tras de sí una gran pueblada y revolución mestiza.<BR> Tupac
Amaru II se auto nominó el cuzqueño asesinado en 1781 y en su honor,
"tupacamaros" les dijeron exclusivamente, entre todos los libertadores del
Plata, a los seguidores del Jefe del Federalismo, apenas tres décadas más

través del cual otorgará alojamiento a estudiantes del interior del país que
llegarán a la capital a continuar sus estudios.<BR> Durante un
año se asignarán 24 lugares para jóvenes entre 18 y 25 años inclusive (12
mujeres y 12 hombres) que cursen en instituciones públicas de enseñanza
terciaria. El período de duración de la beca se extenderá desde marzo del
<st1:metricconverter w:st="on" ProductID="2008 a">2008 a</st1:metricconverter>
febrero del 2009. Los requisitos de inscripción establecen: Tener entre 18
y 25 años inclusive. Residir en el interior del país hasta el momento de la
presentación. Iniciar estudios terciarios en instituciones de enseñanza
pública en Montevideo. Trasladarse por primera vez a estudiar en
Montevideo. No serán tenidos en cuenta las/los jóvenes que cursen carreras
que se realicen en su departamento. Se exceptuarán aquellas personas que
necesariamente deban culminar su carrera en la capital. En la selección se
evaluará la situación socioeconómica de cada postulante. Los ingresos del hogar
(no deberán superar los cinco salarios mínimos nacionales), la distancia desde
la localidad de residencia a Montevideo y la escolaridad. Luego de ser evaluados
estos aspectos, 70 jóvenes pasarán a una entrevista en la que se analizará la
disposición de cada joven a participar activamente en el programa. Para esta
etapa se conformará un equipo de trabajo en <st1:PersonName w:st="on"

Magnou. Artista, arquitecto y docente nacido en 1945. Cursó estudios con

Ramos y Hugo Nantes proyectó y realizó la plaza Armenia, ubicada en la rambla de
Montevideo. También es autor de la plazoleta en homenaje a Francisco Canaro y
del monumento a <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="la Radiodifusi?n">la
Radiodifusión</st1:PersonName> del Interior, ambos ubicados en San José de Mayo.
Sus obras pueden apreciarse en diversas instituciones públicas y privadas del
Uruguay, así como en colecciones particulares de Argentina, Colombia, España,
Alemania, Holanda y EEUU.<BR> Mercedes González. Artista y
docente nacida en 1951. Cursó estudios de cerámica, dibujo y pintura en los
talleres de José Collell, Guillermo Fernández, Cléver Lara y Jaime Nowinski. Sus
obras han sido expuestas en distintos encuentros y exposiciones en Uruguay y el
exterior. Dirige su propio taller desde 1990.<BR>
