(COVICOFU), continúa preparando a muy buen ritmo, en tres turnos, el
llenado de dos plateas en la Jornada Solidaria prevista para el domingo 16
próximo, a las 7AM...<BR>Se invita a apoyar, se necesita gente.<BR>En lo
posible, quienes tengan casco, ropa y zapatos de trabajo, se recomienda
concurrir con ellos.<BR>Si no podés participar trabajando, quizás acercando
alguna torta salada y/o dulce y/o algún refresco.<BR>De cualquier manera, la
Cooperativa tiene programado una "hamburguesada" al medio día...<BR>Esta
Cooperativa fue galardonada recientemente con el Premio Producción Social del
Hábitat 2016 por su trabajo, participación y coordinación con reclusos del Penal
de Punta Rieles, para la fabricación y donación de 15.000 bloques para los
damnificados del tornado en la ciudad de Dolores el pasado mes de abril.<BR>Para
sus 14 viviendas (Franja 1, tipo NBE mejorado al ser por ayuda mutua y
autogestión) necesita 21.000 bloques. Al momento todavía no tienen un solo
bloque, pero ya donaron 15.000...<BR>Dicho Premio es compartido con las hermanas
cooperativas de viviendas del Comité Articulador de Cooperativas de Vivienda por
Ayuda Mutua de Bolivia, y la Asociación de Viviendas Virgen del Carmen de

Reflotamos tema cambio de denominación al 12 de octubre en comisión del
Parlamento, aunque el nombre sugerido no convence a legisladores participantes
en su totalidad, y reflexionan acerca de preguntarle a la población. Es
democracia de cercanía y todas las consultas son de recibo. Mientras tanto; el
Día de la Raza sigue existiendo en Uruguay. Nombre racista que ha sido
sustituido por denominaciones más fieles a la verdad en muchos países hermanos.
Colaboraremos en la medida de nuestras posibilidades en este tema que nos
involucra como sociedad en busca de su historia fidedigna, para mejorar el
futuro no solo, no cometiendo los mismos errores, sino aprendiendo de
ellos.<BR> Ya han concurrido muchos invitados a la
Comisión de Legislación de Cámara de Representantes a hacer sus aportes y
sugerencias, entre ellos académicos y colectivos vinculados. El nombre en
discusión y el que consta en el proyecto de ley original del 2012 -Día de la
Resistencia Indígena y Afrodescendiente- fue acordado por las comunidades afro y
originarias organizadas. <BR> El término “resistencia”
como bien lo definiera el Diputado Pablo González en una de las reuniones,
refiere a resistencia cultural. De lo contrario no habría tradiciones, vocablos,
modismos, religión, culinaria y otras expresiones culturales. Y hay muchas. Un
milagro, dada la violencia casi hasta el exterminio del que fueron víctimas
estos grupos étnicos. <BR> En estas circunstancias, se
verá el mecanismo idóneo para la consulta si se hiciere, tratando de que sea lo
más fiel y amplia posible. Mucha gente puede querer opinar, es lógico y sano. Es
un tema que atañe a toda la ciudadanía aunque las víctimas de ese proceso fueron
dos poblaciones en ese contexto histórico: indígenas y africanos que sufrieron
los efectos directos genocidas y etnocidas de la infame “conquista”, el
sometimiento a nativos y luego de diezmada esta población, la trata
transatlántica de africanos para usarlos como mano de obra esclava y así amasar
fortunas que consolidaron el capitalismo monarca del sistema neoliberal actual,
en la triangulación más canalla y asesina que cuenta la historia.
<BR> Debido al hermanamiento en la desgracia
colonialista se pensó el nuevo nombre con la impronta afro e
indígena.<BR> Son datos de la realidad: los europeos
invasores devastaron al que llamaron “Nuevo Mundo” hasta no poder más de
avaricia, en un hecho que hoy es tipificado como delito de lesa humanidad. Los
imperialistas se ensañaron en su ambición de riquezas y territorios, y Colón lo
que descubrió en realidad, fue lo peor del ser humano.
<BR> El asesinato de Bernabé Rivera que engañó a los
charrúas reducidos y emboscados para asesinarlos a sangre fría, en todo caso, si
no pudiera ser catalogado de defensa propia, por lo menos sería justicia por
mano propia. Porque ¿quién instaló la barbarie en tierras charrúas?
<BR> Claro que es necesario convivir, aunque la
desgracia de la colonización de Europa en América nunca terminará en sus efectos
nocivos de inequidad social y un imaginario contaminado del concepto de
jerarquías culturales.<BR> Ojalá se dé el debate en el
Parlamento y en los ámbitos que sea necesario, y encontremos un mecanismo
adecuado para el planteo público. En este cambio no hablamos solamente de un
nombre, está en juego un sistema de valores de verdad, paz, justicia y derechos
humanos que no queremos resignarnos a perder, y que mejoraría notoriamente la
calidad de nuestra democracia. <BR>Convivencia no es perder la
