I am back in Montevideo and we had a talk today with Rosa to see how to move 
forward with the preparations for the tribunals. I know that Pam will be 
meeting Lysa today and we hope that they will be able to share with us their 
conclusions on where the tribunal should take place (following Lysa´s 
suggestion that is organised in Nepal).
Martha from Peru has already sent a proposal, in Spanish, which we are 
already translating and I hope to have it ready by Monday. It is important 
because some of you can use it as an example, although it is clear that each 
region will organise it according to their particular realities.
I am also attaching a final version of the budget. Martha has sent the costs 
and they are above the funds we have, but in as far as it is a regional 
activity, we think that GCAP LAC should also contribute. And besides Latin 
America has prioritised gender issues for their mobilisation. Martha can 
also use that proposal for fundraising purposes, indicating that 50% of the 
funds are already covered, which of course makes the fundraising effort 
easier.
I will come back on Monday with more details once I have the proposal from 
Peru translated, but I wanted to share this because we think with Rosa that 
it can help also in another regions. And also that all regions should aim at 
having the support of other GCAP constituencies (Asia is already on that 
track) and therefore receive some funding from them also.

estoy de regreso en Montevideo y tuvimos una conversación con Rosa para ver 
como avanzamos en la preparación de los tribunales. Sé que Pam estará 
reuniéndose con Lysa hoy y confiamos que puedan compartir con nosotras las 
conclusiones sobre en qué país realizarán el tribunal (Lysa propuso que sea 
en Nepal).
Martha de Perú ya envió una propuesta, en español, que está siendo traducida 
al inglés y confío en hacerla circular el lunes. Es importante porque puede 
servir como ejemplo para las otras regiones, si bien es claro que cada 
región organizará el evento de acuerdo con sus propias realidades.
También les adjunto la versión final del presupuesto. El que envió Martha 
para Perú está por encima de lo que podemos destinar de acuerdo con los 
fondos que tenemos, pero creemos que GCAP América Latina también podrá 
contribuir así como la FTF ha colaborado también con actividades de la 
región. Además América Latina ha planteado priorizar el tema género. Martha 
también puede usar esa propuesta para obtender fondos indicando que el 50% 
ya está cubierto, lo que simplifica los esfuerzos de búsqueda de fondos.
El lunes les volveré a escribir con más detalles y confío que con la 
propuesta de Perú ya traducida. Pero con Rosa queríamos compartir esta 
información pues creemos que le puede ser útil a las otras regiones. También 
estas regiones deberían buscar apoyo de parte de los otros grupos de GCAP 
(Asia ya lo está haciendo) y por lo tanto intentar recibir fondos de parte 
de ellos.
