Dear all  
>From November 14-17, 2008, at the Cape Town International Convention Center,
up to 1,500 women's rights leaders and activists from around the world will
converge on Cape Town, South Africa at the 11th AWID International Forum to
discuss the power of movements.

Goals and Objectives
The Forum creates a space for different actors and activists, from all around
the world to come together to discuss a broad range of fundamental subjects
and challenges that affect the work of women's advocates, regardless of what
issues or regions they focus on. 
The forum aims to
- Create an effective space for women's movements around the world to
strategize, be self-critical, renew, re-energize and develop innovative
solutions and ways forward 
- To make evident inter-linkages between sectors and issues in building
strategic alliances and to put new issues on the development and women's
rights agenda 
- To develop new, more holistic and sustainable solutions to advance women's
rights at all levels 
- To build practical skills through hands-on workshops 


As it was not posible to discuss the FTF  interet in participating in this
important Forum, I suggest that all of you read more about the scope and
