Subject:     *Selection of IFT Co-Chairs and Nominations from the Regions*

Dear friends
I am sending you a paper highlighting the criteria, roles and
responsibilities and proposed process of selection of 2 new IFT Co-Chaires
approved by IFT in its teleconference on July 12th. As agreed in the meeting
that each region should be asked to submit atleast two names (both women)
based on the criteria highlighted in the document and send those names to me
on irfan.mufti en civicus.org by July 31st. Names received till that date will
then be circulated to all the IFT members for voting on a ballot paper that
will be sent by the IFT support team in the first week of August. There will
be a week time to submit ballots back to the IFT support team . The results
will be compiled and announced in the next IFT telecall on August 16th.

I therefore request all of you to please nominate names after consulting
your constituencies. Should you need any other information and assistance
please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to your immediate
response.
