[Gcap-mujeres] Nominations for Climate Change Group /Grupo Cambio Climatico

Dear friends,
queridas amigas (espanhol abajo)

I am happy to share with you the enthusiastic response we received for 
nominations for the climate change group: eight colleagues have responded 
from several regions. Thanks to all!
As we had been told that the FTF had space for one representative I 
contacted Ben Margolis, who will be coordinated the team to ask for his 
opinion on how best to make use of the enthusiasm of all these women from 
the FTF.
He suggested that we can be represented by two or three, so we have already 
gained two seats at the working group!
He also said that the others can join the working group on behalf of their 
regions, as most regions have not yet sent any names and besides that there 
are several spaces per region. For this is important that you all contact 
the GCAP regional secretariats in your regions.
And he also suggested something that we have talked about in the 
facilitation team of the FTF and it is that we could have our own FTF 
Climate change group that will liaise with the global one and that will look 
at climate change in relation to gender.
The first communication of the new global group will be in the second half 
of March, so we have time to finalise our arrangements in terms of who will 
be the three women going to the Climate Change global team on behalf of the 
FTF, who will be the ones joining on behalf of their regions, and how we can 
start putting together the FTF sub group on Climate Change.
As we are having a meeting next week in New York we will include this issue 
in the agenda and will keep you all informed.
But let me share the names of all those who have volunteered as you might 
want to start getting in touch with each other:

Queridas amigas,
Me alegra compartir con ustedes el entusiasmo generado en torno a las 
nominaciones para el grupo de cambio climático. Recibimos 8 nominaciones de 
varias regiones. Gracias a todas las compañeras!
Como teníamos la información que el ETF tenía solo un lugar en este grupo me 
contacté Con Ben Margolis, que será quien coordine el grupo de trabajo, para 
consultarle su opinión sobre cómo aprovechar el entusiasmo de tantas 
compañeras del ETF.
Ben sugirió que el ETF puede estar representado por do o tres compañeras, 
por lo que ya ganamos dos lugares!!
También dijo que otras compañeras se pueden integrar representando a sus 
regiones, ya que éstas tienen varios lugares y por ahora no todas han 
mandado los nombres de sus representantes. Para esto es importante que se 
pongan en comunicación con vuestros secretariados regionales.
Y Ben también sugirió algo que estuvimos viendo en el equipo facilitador, y 
es que pensemos en formar un grupo de trabajo de cambio climático dentro del 
ETF que coordine con el grupo global y que aporte en lo que tiene que ver 
con cambio climático y género.
La primera llamada del grupo global será la segunda quincena de marzo por lo 
que tenemos tiempo para ponernos de acuerdo sobre quiénes serán las tres 
compañeras que nos representen en ese grupo global, quiénes lo integrarán 
por sus regiones y cómo haremos para poner en marcha el subgrupo de cambio 
climático dentro del ETF. 
Como tenemos una reunión en Nueva York la próxima semana incluiremos este 
punto en la agenda y las mantendremos informadas. 
Pero ya comparto los nombres de todas las compañeras que se ofrecieron para 
que si lo desean puedan ponerse en contacto entre ustedes:
