The World Summit is approaching and at MADRE we consider that this is an
excellent opportunity to go over the achievements and challenges for the
GCAP Feminist Task Force.

On consultation with Rosa Lizarde and Blerta Cela, MADRE has decided to
draft a tentative agenda for a tentative strategic session (two hours long
-to be celebrated on the 8th September-DPI Conference)

We really think that we should take advantage of this time during the DPI
that some of the non NY based NGO will be here.

 

Tentative agenda for tentative GCAP Strategic Session during DPI:

 

*        Review how the points of the FTF has been reflected on the
different drafts of the outcome document and on the minutes of the Hearings

*        Review the role and messages of the FTF for the World Summit

*        Propose events to organize

 

 

So, if you want to follow up on this meeting:

 

1st  Decide if you consider that celebrate this session can be helpful, and
if the date is convenient

 

2nd Confirm if you will be able to attend and when it will be more
convenient for you

 

3rd: Suggest additional points to the agenda

 

4th Suggest a venue to do the meeting, that can vary depending how many of
us are going to be here

 

We really think it will be important to meet and go through what we have
achieved and what are our next objectives.

Estimadas amigas,

 

La Cumbre Mundial de Septiembre se esta aproximando y en MADRE pensamos que
esta es una excelente oportunidad para revisar los logros y los desafíos del
Grupo de Trabajo Feminista de GCAP.

Hemos estado hablando con Rosa Lizarde y con Blerta Cela (tras la
Conferencia telefónica del miércoles pasado), decidimos hacer el borrador de
una posible agenda para una posible reunión estratégica (de unas dos horas,
el día 8 (Conferencie del DPI)., así se puede aprovechar que estarán aquí
representantes de organizaciones que no tienen su sede en NY.

 

Posible agenda:

*	Revisar como los puntos formulados por el grupo de trabajo feminista
durante los hearings se han reflejado en los borradores de la cumbre mundial
y en los hearings
*	Revisar el papel  y los mensajes del grupo de trabajo feminista
para la cumbre mundial
*	Posibles eventos que se puedan organizar

 

Así que,  si decidimos darle seguimiento a esta idea, esperamos sus
opiniones en:

 

 

1.- Confirmar que estarán aquí para la fecha del DPI y cuando podrían
asistir a la sesión estratégica

 

2- Sugerir puntos adicionales para la agenda

3- Sugerir posibles sitios para reunirse (esto dependerá de cuantas podamos
asistir)

 

Creemos que es importante celebrar esta reunión para recapitular logros y
fijar nuevas metas.
